Every Easter we have a tradition in my family of going to the New York City Easter Parade. Most people think it is a parade like the other NYC parades with big floats and marching bands. It however is the opposite, the parade is filled with people leaving mass as well as creative artists, like my mother. Since I was a year old we have marched down 5th Ave. in bonnets made by my mother Jodie Trapani. In the past years we have gone under the name “The City Chicks”. Here is a shot of us in our bonnets this year.
Keep an eye out for us in Bill Cunningham’s “On The Street” column next Sunday in The New York Times! We are crossing our fingers.
